PRAYER REQUESTSWe pray for all in need of God’s healing especially Neil Gallagher Class of 2000 and cousin of Mr Altomari, Mary Ann Sifoni, volunteer and Robert Burch, cousin of Mrs. Jones. We pray for all the deceased members of the Father Judge community.

 

SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK:   Today, (9/17) and tomorrow (9/18) we are on a Regular Schedule #l. Wednesday (9/19) is a Schedule #3 with an afternoon assembly for all Sophomores.

Thursday (9/20) is a Regular Schedule #l. Friday (9/21) is a Schedule #3 with an afternoon assembly for all Freshmen.

 

STUDENT LIFE:

 

STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS:  Any Sophomore, Junior or Senior who is interested in running for student council, please pick up an eligibility form today in Room 134, Office of Student Life. PLEASE NOTE ALL THE REQUIREMENTS . If you are eligible, it must be returned, signed by your parent, by TOMORROW, Tuesday, September 18th, for your name to be placed on the ballot. Elections will be held on Thursday, September 20th during all Homeroom periods.

 

SENIORS: Please remember to hand in your signed “DIPLOMA NAME VERIFICATION FORM” to Mrs. Bertoline in Room 134.

 

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT:  TONIGHT, September 17th. Senior Parents report at 5:45 PM to the auditorium.  All other parents report to their son’s Homeroom at 6:30 PM.

 

SENIOR CLASS RINGS:  All ring payments should have been done by now. If you have not paid the balance of your ring, please do so ASAP. Jostens will NOT deliver any ring that has not been paid in full.

 

 

MEETINGS:

 

BASKETBALL:  Meeting TODAY(9/17) after school in Room 215 for all current members of the program.

 

VARSITY MATHLETES: Meeting TODAY (9/17) after school in room 310. All returning members and new members are welcome."

 

School Newspaper: There will be an organizational meeting for anyone interested in joining the staff of the school newspaper,“The Crusader”, TOMORROW, Sept 18, in room 223 after 8th period. All are welcome.


SALESIAN LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE
: There will be a meeting after school next Wednesday, September 19, in the conference center (old chapel).  All returning members and new invitees should attend.  See Father Jack or Mr. Camusi if you are unable to attend!

 

NHS: Meeting on Thursday, September 20, after 8th period in room 105. All members are expected to attend. Any questions, see Mrs. Dwyer.

 

 

 

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

 

SALESIAN SERVICE TEAM: Any student interested in signing up for Salesian service opportunities this year should look outside the Center for Salesian Spirituality (room 108) for our Google Classroom code.  This year, we've made all signups electronic!  Use the code to join our "class" and get involved!

 

FRANCIS INN -Judge will be taking students to St. Francis in Kensington thisThursday, September 20.  Please see Fr. Jack or Mr. Camusi to sign up.  There is information outside Fr. Jack's office about signing up.

 

JEROME'Sis looking for help to clean up after their FLEA MARKET onSaturday, September 29.  You will be needed from 12 noon to about1:30 PM.  See Fr. Jack for more information or if you are interested.

 

FRESHMAN FATHER/SON DAY OF SERVICE: Saturday, September 29th, from Noon to 5:00 PM. (hours flexible – work around your schedule – Stay an hour or two or the whole time) St John’s Lutheran Church, 3101 Tyson Avenue, Phila., Pa. 19149. If interested see Fr. Jack, Mr. Camusi or Mr. Williams.

 

 MS BIKE CITY TO SHORE: 10 hours each day! Volunteer needed to work at the MS City to Shore Bike Race Saturday September 29th  and/or Sunday September 30th. You may volunteer for one or both days. See Mr. Cahill in room 209 for details.
