Automotive Program Instructor

Mr. Thomas Diamond has over 35 years of experience in the automotive service industry. He is a graduate of Archbishop Wood High School and Lincoln Technical Institute in Philadelphia, PA, and holds certifications in ASE, Emissions, and ASE Master Technician. He has a vast array of experience working in professional settings, including 30 years working with independent service centers and over 5 years of teaching Automotive Technology at Pennco Technical Institute. Mr. Diamond is a certified L1/ASE Master Technician and holds many certifications as a PA Safety/Emissions Repair Technician and as a Certified Mazda Master Technician. His professional career spans over 35 years where he has worked as a technician, service manager, trainer, and educator.
 
While at Pennco Technical School, Mr. Diamond motivated his students to reach their full potential through hands-on training working on vehicles and technology including hybrid vehicles. Providing a rigorous curriculum and practical real-world experiences, students were able to achieve ASE certifications and job placement. His background as a Lead technician includes time as a Master Technician working on European, Asian, Domestic, and Performance vehicles. Mr. Diamond also won the “Pep Boys Top Gun” Award for being the top producing/skilled technician at Pep Boys early in his career. In addition to diagnostic and electrical training through ATG, (Automotive Training Group), Mr. Diamond looks forward to working on cars and sharing his years of automotive experience and approach to diagnostics with future generations.
 
Mr. Diamond believes that Automotive technicians are in such demand in today’s job market, and there is such importance for experienced industry professionals in this ever-changing competitive industry. As the automotive industry continues to evolve, Mr. Diamond is committed to staying relevant with industry standards, safety protocols, and the latest technological advances in the Automotive industry.
 
As well as collecting and working on cars, Mr. Diamond enjoys spending time with his wife Jacqueline, and their three children. Mr. Diamond enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the beach, and is committed to his family. Mr. Diamond was raised with strong Christian beliefs and believes in the value of Catholic education and community service. Mr. Diamond always had a passion for spending time with family and working on cars, especially from a young age when he worked at his grandfather’s Texaco automotive service center/gas station, and hopes to instill these values in today’s youth.
 
Mr. Diamond is excited and honored to be part of Father Judge’s Career and Technical Educational Program and embrace their mission to challenge each student to reach their full potential, personally, academically, and spiritually.
