SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK: Today we are on a regular Schedule #1. This upcoming Monday, April 29th, will be a regular Schedule #1. Tuesday and Wednesday will be Schedule #3. Tuesday all students are dismissed at 1:56pm and Wednesday will be an assembly for all freshmen. 10th through 12th grade students are dismissed at 1:56pm. Thursday and Friday will be a regular Schedule #1.

 

STUDENT LIFE: 

 

National Honor Society: The Father Judge DeSales Chapter of the National Honor Society will be conducting a book drive to benefit the local Philly Book Bank which serves area teachers in need of books for their students. We ask that you bring new or gently used books for children from kindergarten to eighth grade to achieve our school-wide goal of 1,000 books.

 

Senior Prom: There will be a MANDATORY prom meeting for all seniors attending next Friday after school on Monday, April 29th 2024 in the auditorium. Attendance will be taken and any senior missing from the meeting will be required to attend the make-up meeting on Friday (prom day) after school.

 

Chess Club: Next meeting will be this upcoming Monday starting at 3:00pm.

 

Junior Ring Adjustments: IF YOU NEED TO MEET WITH A JOSTENS REPRESENTATIVE ON MONDAY, PLEASE EMAIL MR. LOUGHLIN BY THE END OF TODAY (4/26/24)!

 

Senior Retreat: Seniors will have their last class retreat on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 during the school day. There will be no classes for Seniors and more information will be mailed out to students and their families over the weekend!

 

Christian Service

 

Sister House Clean Up: Any freshman or sophomore in need of a few more Christian Service hours are invited to campus tomorrow at 9am to help with tidying up and cleaning the grounds next door at the Sisters House. The project will run from 9am to 12pm and will earn you three hours. Students interested are to meet at the school’s main entrance tomorrow morning at 9am and all needed materials and tools will be provided to students.

 

Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy: Any student in need of hours are invited to reach out to Mr. Budd at [email protected] to learn more about how to earn hours at that facility on Bustleton Avenue.

 

GUIDANCE

 

SENIORS!  The deadline to bring in your acceptances and scholarships to colleges, trade schools, & military branches has been extended to WEDNESDAY MAY 8th!  For those of you entering the workforce this includes confirmed job offers as well! This information goes in the Scholarship Booklet at Graduation and we do not want to miss anyone, so please bring in your letters!

 

Need A Job?   James Ferrari, Class of 2023, is hiring Judge students for his landscaping business.  He is also looking for students who need Community Service Hours. See Guidance for details or contact James at 215-539-0441

 

Open Houses: The following schools are hosting an open house on the upcoming dates!

Summer Programs: If anyone is interested in attending a Summer Program, the last table by the Guidance Office, has many interesting  programs offered by many colleges and universities.

 

PFEW: Sophomores and Juniors interested in any business field or interested in gaining advanced leadership skills should consider attending Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week this summer! See Guidance or go to www.pfew.org for more details!details!
