PRAYER REQUESTS:  We pray for all in need of God’s healing. We especially pray for Mrs. Harriet Trinsey and Ms. Kitty Gomez and their good health. We also pray for the Keough family during this time of mourning for their baby Ruby. 

 

SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK: Today is a schedule #1. Thursday is a schedule #6 for morning meetings. Friday is a schedule #1.

 

STUDENT LIFE: 

 

Teen Mass: Our Lady of Calvary on Knights Road is inviting all teens from the area high schools to the 5PM Mass on Saturday, December 2nd. Fr. Louis Monica (FJ grad and Campus Minister at AR) and our very own Fr. Vince Smith will be the celebrants. After Mass, there will be refreshments in the school gym. Make time to catch up with Our Lord and each other. See Mrs. Teson for further details or Fr. Vince for transportation from FJ to OLC.

 

Varsity Mathletes: Varsity Mathletes our next competition is Monday, December 4, at Mount Saint Joseph Academy.  Please see Sister Kathy in room 310 for review sheets and permission slips. Signed permission slips are due back by Thursday, November 30. 

 

JV Mathletes: JV Mathletes will meet after school on Tuesday, December 5, in Room 310. We will practice for the competition on Tuesday, December 12. Snacks will be served and the meeting will end by 3:30 pm.  New members are welcome.

 

USMC Toys for Tots: Attached is a flyer for the USMC Toys for Tots Drive.  Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!  If you are unable to donate a toy, any financial donation is acceptable since Mr. Campellone will be going out to buy toys too. Click Here for Flyer

 

GUIDANCE

 

SAT: If you are taking the SATs this Saturday, you are reminded that you MUST have both your Picture ID and your Admissions Ticket in order to take the test!  Bring your calculator, #2 pencils, and a snack and be sure to get a good night's sleep and eat breakfast!  Good Luck!

 

PA State Universities Fair: Admissions Representatives from all 14 PA State Universities (i.e. West Chester, Bloomsburg, Kutztown, Millersville, etc.) will be hosting a college fair on WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY NOVEMBER 29th & 30th from 4:00-7:00 pm!  Wednesday's fair will be held at the School District of Philadelphia (440 N. Broad St) & Thursday's fair is at The Provident Campus (4601 Market Street)  There will be a financial aid workshop available on Thursday as well.  Go to www.passhe.edu/collegefair for additional details.

 

CHRISTIAN SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

 

St. Francis Inn: Volunteers needed! Community Service Hours! Students are needed for volunteer trips to the St. Francis Inn this school year to help serve meals to the homeless community in Philadelphia. Any interested students are asked to see Fr. Vince Smith in his office for more details!

 

Catholic Social Services: Students looking for after-school or weekend hours are invited to reach out to C.S.S. Interested students are to call Becky at 215-624-5920. When you call, notify them that you are a Father Judge student.

 

ATHLETICS

 

Anyone interested in trying out for a winter sport must have a completed PIAA form signed by their doctor after the date of June 1, 2023. This form needs to be uploaded to FamilyID. A letter was sent home to your parents explaining the procedure and how to register and/or upload this document.
