PRAYER REQUESTS: We pray for all in need of God’s healing. We especially pray for all those who’ve recently been impacted by the school shootings and violence throughout the country.
SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK: Today is a regular schedule #1.
STUDENT LIFE
Chess: Due to the Schedule #4 yesterday, chess will have its next meeting today after school in Room 313.
Newspaper Club: First meeting will be next Thursday 10/10 after school in the Brisson Center.
Marine Biology and Zoology Club: The first meeting will be Thursday, October 10 from 2:35 to 3:45 in Room 313. Meetings occur every other week and will be posted in the Schoology Group. The access code for the club will be given to all students in the upcoming weekly schedule.
GUIDANCE
Students taking the SAT this Saturday are reminded that you MUST have a picture ID and your Admission Ticket which you can access after you download the Blue Book app on the device you will be using to take the test. Remember--you CANNOT use a chromebook to take the test! You can use a Windows or Mac laptop, tablet, or iPad. You may want to bring a calculator, pen or pencil, charger, and snack. Get a good night's sleep and eat breakfast--Good Luck!
SENIORS! The CSS Profile will open on October 1st ! This is another financial aid form but it is only required by certain colleges such as Drexel, Villanova, Lehigh, UPenn, etc. Go to https://cssprofile.collegeboard.org/ to see what colleges need it and how to complete it.
CHRISTIAN SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
Saturday, October 5th -Oktoberfest at St. Anselm’s
Students are needed from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM. You may work for as long as you want.
Text Mrs. Gentile at 215-327-9808 and let her know when you can be there. You will report to the gym side of the parking lot and she will set you up with where to be and what to do.
Saturday, October 12th – Oktoberfest at OLC
Students are needed anytime from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Ask for Mrs. Picinich. Report to the school gym and she will direct you where to go and what to do.
Wednesdays and Thursdays through December 5th at OLC Flag Football Referees 3:30-4:30 PM
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP): SEAP places high school students in Department of Navy (DoN) laboratories where they take part in real Naval research for eight weeks during the summer.
