Educating the minds and souls of our students in the spirit of the gentleman saint, St. Francis de Sales

Welcome from the Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs

Hello Parents,

It is a pleasure to join the Father Judge community!  Thank you to all who have welcomed me.  For those of you I have not had met yet, I would like to introduce myself.  I come to Father Judge after 5 years in the Diocese of Wilmington as the Dean of Academic Affairs at St. Thomas More Academy in Dover, Delaware.  To give you a brief background of myself, I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from DeSales University, a Master's of Science in Psychology and Counseling from Villanova University, and a Doctor of Education in Innovation and Leadership from Wilmington University.  I have been a teacher, counselor, and administrator with 3 Catholic high schools (2 of which were Oblate high schools) over the past 12 years.  I also had the privilege of teaching college students at DeSales University, and now teach doctoral students at Wilmington University.  When the opportunity to join Father Judge High School presented itself I jumped at the chance.

This is an exciting time to be a Crusader!  We are in the first year of our partnership with Holy Family University, Finishing Trades Institute, Settlement Music School, St. Joseph's University Alliance for Catholic Education, and Middlebury College's Interactive Languages.  Each of these partnerships distinguishes Father Judge and provides unique academic opportunities for your son.  We are also in our second year of the iPad program, and by 2017 all students will have a smart device to assist their learning in the classroom.  We are continuing to explore new academic programs and possibilities.  Again, this is an exciting time to be a Crusader!

I grew up in a middle class family as the son of a General Motors line worker and a nurse.  My family sacrificed so I could attend Salesianum School, a Catholic school run by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales in Wilmington Delaware.  It was the best decision my parents made for me, as it prepared me for the rigors of college and life.  You too have made a sacrifice by sending your son to Father Judge.  I know it is not always easy, but rest assured you have made an investment in your son's future.  One day your son will thank you for providing this opportunity.  Thank you for choosing Judge and entrusting us to educate your sons academically, spiritually, socially, and physically.  God Bless
