Director of Athletics: Mr. Ed Evanitsky judgead@comcast.net

Associate Director of Athletics: Mr. Paul Dixon pdixon@fatherjudge.com

As of May 20, 2010, the PIAA has revised the Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation (CIPPE) Form that must be completed prior to any participation in a sport.  The changes are specific to creating more awareness of the risk of concussion and head injury in sports, including the risks associated with continuing to compete after a concussion or head injury.  For the 2010-2011 school year, the revised CIPPE form must be completed by a physicain and signed by both the student-athlete and his parent(s) prior to beginning any workout, tryout, practice or game.  if you have any questions, please contact the Athletic Department at 215-338-9494, Ext. 1166.

PHILOSOPHY

The Athletic Department's philosophy must be rooted within the principles of Catholic
education with emphasis on the fundamentals of Salesian Spirituality.
The Athletic Department must show respect for all student-athletes, coaches, fans,
and those associated with Father Judge High School.

The purpose of this Athletic Department is to represent Father Judge High School
competitively and fairly in all sports.  The Athletic Department must create an
environment of discipline, hard work and respect. The Athletic Department must
strive to foster growth in its student-athletes, while emphasizing the
spirit of Christian competition and carrying out the
mission of Father Judge High School.

The Athletic Department must recognize that it is an extension of Father Judge
High School, not an independent.  It must strive to represent Father Judge at a
high standard and demand the same of those associated with the department,
remembering that participating in athletics for Father Judge is a privilege.
