Hall of Fame
If you know of a graduate who has reached a milestone or high level of achievement within his profession or has accomplished something of great significance, here is your chance to have that person's accomplishment recognized.
The Hall of Fame recognized graduates for the first time in 1997. This honor is given to graduates of Father Judge High School. The creation of such an award represents another step in our goal to reach out to our graduates and to involve them more actively.
To nominate an individual for the award, please complete the nomination form which can be found under the alumni link.
All nominations will be reviewed in confidence by the Hall of Fame Committee. Five nominees will be selected to receive the award each year.
The Hall of Fame will be divided into five categories:
ARTS/ENTERTAINMENT/EDUCATION
ATHLETICS
BUSINESS/MILITARY
SCIENCE/RELIGION
SERVICE TO FATHER JUDGE AND THE JUDGE COMMUNITY
Crusader Award
In the past, a crusade was a vigorous campaign in favor of a cause, and a crusader was the person engaged in the campaign. When FATHER JUDGE opened in 1954, the school chose as its symbol "THE CRUSADER" and as its motto "NON EXCIDET", meaning he "will not falter or fail." Putting these symbols together, a JUDGE student is one who pursues whatever he does with a vigorous enthusiasm to be the best possible person he can be. In the classroom or on the field of competition, he will strive to demonstrate the qualities of a true Christian gentleman as he prepares for his chosen profession and the following of Christ throughout his life.
When the Oblates took over Judge, it was decided to place the school under the patronage of St. Francis de Sales. Francis de Sales was a true crusader for he worked vigorously to help spread the Word of God through his writings, preachings, and life style.
The Crusader Award, the highest honor bestowed by Father Judge High School, is awarded to an alumnus who best symbolizes the spirit of a Crusader. This person has achieved a level of distinction within his chosen field or profession and has brought extraordinary benefits to FATHER JUDGE and the community.
