PRAYER REQUESTS:  Let us keep in our prayers all those in need of God’s healing, especially Mrs. Maryanne Bryzicki, Aiden Coyne, Michael Hayes, Fred Holgate, Michael Lapae, Katie Dufner, James Heaney,  Jill Tessaglia, Mrs. Nancy Messner, Mr. James Keashon,  William Quigley, Paul Gontarek’66, Mary Donahue, Robert Schickling,  Baby AJ and Dee Zawila, and Frank Mallon. We pray for all those who have entered eternal life, especially Stephen D’Angelo, Class of “73, Thomas Kumosinski, Class of ’59, Mr. Charlie Shaughnessy, Mrs. Helen Rysak, William Allely ‘60 and all the deceased members of the Fr. Judge family.

SCHEDULE FOR THIS WEEK:  EXAMS are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Students are off from school on Wednesday (June 9) for graduation.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF PHILADELPHIA is offering summer courses to motivated high school students in the areas of: Acting, Architecture, Law, Psychology, Science/Technology, and Video Production.  The courses meet Monday thru Thursday from 9 am-12:30 pm from July 12 to August 10, and the cost is $200.  If you are interested, please see Guidance for an application.  Apply soon because classes fill quickly!

JUNIORS!  Temple University is offering a 3 week summer program for students interested in areas of Business from July12-July 30.  This program is FREE but you must have good grades.  See Guidance for an application. The deadline is June 7th!!!

Any 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student who is interested in health/medicine, the environment, or law/government may wish to attend a week long Leadership Program hosted by Freedoms Foundation in Valley Forge from July 18-July 23.  The cost is $1,150 but scholarships/financial aid are available on a first come first serve basis.  Go to www.freedomfoundation.org for more information, and see Guidance asap if you would like to be recommended for the program.

 This is a day when teachers have traditionally given out final grades to their students and answered any questions about grading, etc.  

1st Period:      8:00 AM

2nd Period:     8:18 *   no homeroom period

3rd Period:     8:36

4th Period:     8:54

5th Period:     9:12

6th Period:     9:30

7th Period:     9:48

8th Period:     10:06 …. LAST DISMISSAL at 10:21 **

 Tuesday, June 15: TEACHER WORK DAY (no classes for students)

 Wednesday, June 16:  TEXTBOOK COLLECTION, SUMMER SCHOOL LETTERS, READING LIST DISTRIBUTION

 8:00 AM –   JUNIORS report to HOMEROOM

 9:30 AM –   SOPHOMORES report to HOMEROOM

 11:00 AM – FRESHMEN report to HOMEROOM

 Unless you have failed and need to register for summer school or meet with a teacher, this is the last day of school for the 2009-2010 school year.  Have a good summer!

 THURSDAY, June 17:  SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION & INFORMATION – 9:00 AM (Auditorium)

 Only those students who have failed a class and need to register for summer school should report.

 FRIDAY, June 18:  CLOSE OF SCHOOL YEAR

 Parent-Teacher Student Conferences 8:30 – 10:30 AM
