DIRECTIONS TO THE STUDENT: This list is for the summer and upcoming school year, 2010/2011. You are to read two books for the academic year you are entering. Teachers are required to test your knowledge of the books and their method of assessment will vary. TEACHERS WILL GIVE AT LEAST (1) GRADED ASSIGNMENT THAT RELATES TO THE READINGS. It is recommended that, while reading the book, you keep a journal of its theme, characters, plot, development, outcomes, criticism and your thoughts/reactions to the book.
